KOVAČEVIĆ: IZETBEGOVIĆ HAS REVEALED MOTIVES BEHIND PERSECUTION OF DODIK - GOAL IS TO DECAPITATE SERBS AND SRPSKA

SARAJEVO, September 10 /SRNA/ - Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Radovan Kovačević emphasized that Bakir Izetbegović's statement, claiming that cooperation with SNSD is possible but without Milorad Dodik, only demonstrates how weak leader Izetbegović is and how powerless his politics have become.

"The simplest answer would be that cooperation with the SDA is possible only without Izetbegović. In the plural. But is there really anyone left that SDA can cooperate with?! Other than /Željko/ Komšić, /Nebojša/ Vukanović with 1.5 percent support, and the rest of the weak opposition in Republika Srpska whom Izetbegović praises so much," Kovačević wrote on X. He pointed out that Izetbegović only welcomes those Serbs and Croats whom he would like to choose himself, not those who are the actual choice of the Serb and Croat peoples. Ultimately, Kovačević stressed, both Izetbegović and those imitating him must clearly understand that the people of Republika Srpska have long been aware that if it were up to Izetbegović and the likes of him, there would be no Milorad Dodik in Republika Srpska, nor would there be SNSD, the Republika Srpska itself, or even Serbs. "SDA and Sarajevo-based parties have been in power in the Federation of BiH the entire time, and the position of the Serb people there best illustrates their policy towards Serbs in places where Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska cannot sufficiently oppose them," Kovačević noted, who also serves as the SNSD spokesperson. At the same time, he said, Izetbegović, no matter how hard he tries, cannot hide in his statements a genuine admiration for Milorad Dodik. "In the same interview, he describes Dodik as a `strong president to whom everyone is loyal,` adding that once he is removed, the Serbs will not have such a `formidable politician` for a long time. In doing so, he completely reveals the motives behind the political persecution of Milorad Dodik. The goal is clear and only one - to decapitate the Serbs and Republika Srpska!" Kovačević concluded.
