INSTITUTIONAL AND ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA FOLLOWS
BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 11 /SRNA/ – The Government of Republika Srpska adopted a conclusion concerning the initiation of institutional and economic transformation of Republika Srpska toward a self-sustainable, fiscally stable, and development-oriented community, with strong reliance on domestic resources, markets, and human potential.
It was noted that, in addition to the concrete goals outlined in point one of this conclusion, the core of programmatic activities for the next mandate period will consist of directions and tasks defined by the Prime Minister in his expose presented to the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. The Government expects maximum agility from all holders of public functions and all employees in the public sector, along with a professional, expert, and responsible approach to assigned tasks, high-level work discipline, and work for the common good aimed at the economic advancement and prosperity of Republika Srpska. This conclusion relates to government activities during the mandate period, with objectives including the strengthening and confirmation of Republika Srpska’s status in accordance with the Dayton Peace Accords and the Constitution of Republika Srpska, as well as the analysis and preparation for the reorganization of Republika Srpska’s institutions, public enterprises, and public administration. The objectives also include reviewing the role of Republika Srpska’s judicial institutions in safeguarding constitutionality and legality within Republika Srpska and BiH, as well as taking measures to enforce Republika Srpska laws, particularly those adopted in the previous period concerning Dayton jurisdictions of Republika Srpska, the Government Public Relations Bureau stated. The Government’s conclusion also covers the implementation of foreign policy activities in coordination with the President of Republika Srpska and the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, as well as continued cooperation and joint action with the authorities of Serbia in accordance with the Declaration on the Protection of National and Political Rights and the Shared Future of the Serb People, dated June 8 of last year. This conclusion comes into effect on the day of its adoption. The first special session of the Government of Republika Srpska was attended by the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić, and the presidents of the parties forming the parliamentary majority.
