DODIK: SLOVENIAN GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT TEST SRPSKA'S COMMITMENT
BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 12 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik says the Government of Slovenia should not test Republika Srpska's commitment on banning the entry of Slovenian President Nataša Pirc-Musar and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon.
"They should not test our commitment - they will be removed immediately, just like we did with the German minister," Dodik said. He emphasized that what Fajon is doing does not represent European or human values. "You've been lying the whole time. If you lie about Republika Srpska, i.e. myself as its president, you're insulting the entire Republika Srpska, so why should we show hospitality? I have never insulted Slovenia in any way, but they have insulted many people here," Dodik stated. He has added that the Slovenian Government, which imposed sanctions on him, refuses to acknowledge that Serbs are the largest national community in that country and refuses to grant them minority status. Dodik expressed his belief that not all members of the Slovenian Government agree with the decision to ban his entry into Slovenia. "I do not respect that approach, that lawlessness. It turns out that only I and /Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin/ Netanyahu are now banned from entering Slovenia," Dodik added. The president of Republika Srpska claimed that his meetings in Moscow are clearly bothering them, and that this is yet another reason to impose sanctions on Slovenia. "They associate with our outright enemies like /Christian/ Schmidt and promote occupation here," Dodik told RTRS. The Government of Republika Srpska yesterday, following Slovenia's decision to ban President Milorad Dodik from entering the country, imposed reciprocal measures banning the entry of Slovenian President Nataša Pirc-Musar and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon into Republika Srpska.
