KOVAČEVIĆ: KONAKOVIĆ WANTS MFA TO BE MINISTRY OF BOSNIAKS
BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 23 /SRNA/ – The direct persecution of Serb staff continues, because the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković wants a Ministry of Bosniaks, not of BiH, assessed Radovan Kovačević, Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, commenting on the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against advisor in the BiH Mission to the EU in Brussels Olivera Nikolić over the celebration of Republic Day – January 9.
"This is the only thing at play here. Olivera Nikolić, as an official, did nothing wrong, but did what all Serbs and citizens of Republika Srpska think and feel," Kovačević stressed. If they want Republika Srpska and Serbs not to be part of BiH, Kovačević said, then Serbs and Srpska will understand that stance and have their own response. "We will have a response to that, but then they should not say that we are secessionists. We can only be those who respond to being constantly pushed out and told that this country in which we were born, as were all our ancestors, which we built, defended, and liberated, is suddenly not ours," Kovačević told RTRS. Kovačević said that Republika Srpska and Serbs will surely have a prepared response to this. The BiH Prosecutor's Office has launched investigative actions against Nikolić, who did not attend Republic Day, but due to a photograph taken on January 9, 2024, and posted by her on January 8, 2025, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against her.
