PAVIĆ: KARAN'S VICTORY IMPORTANT FOR DEFENDING SRPSKA IN THE FUTURE
BELGRADE, OCTOBER 8 /SRNA/ – Political scientist Aleksandar Pavić states that the victory of the ruling coalition’s presidential candidate in Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, in the upcoming snap elections would be extremely important for the future defence of Republika Srpska.
He noted that it is clear Karan represents a coalition that has positioned itself as the sovereigntist option for Republika Srpska. "There is now a clear division in Republika Srpska's political arena between those who are true sovereigntists and firm in defending Srpska, and those who are ready to compromise and submit to the decisions of the illegitimate and illegal High Representative and the Western `deep state,`" Pavić told SRNA. He emphasized that it is now crucial for those determined to continue defending Republika Srpska from the High Representative's usurpation to come together and unite the people. Pavić pointed out that it is very important to prevent any further transfer of powers from Republika Srpska and to stop Christian Schmidt from imposing new illegitimate laws. "Sarajevo must no longer be allowed to influence how Republika Srpska is governed," Pavić said. He added that it's also important to remember that opposition parties like the SDS rushed into the early presidential elections and, in doing so, effectively undermined the unity of Serbs.
