SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 14 /SRNA/ – On the proposal of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, today in Sarajevo the Presidency unanimously approved the nomination of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Cvijanović first submitted the initiative to the Presidency on August 22, proposing for the US President to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. In the justification of this initiative, Cvijanović emphasized that during his second term, President Donald Trump, through his diplomatic engagement and personal authority, achieved results that left a significant mark on international relations and contributed substantially to the stabilization of numerous global crises. "Appreciating his efforts and achievements in the field of peace, I consider it justified and deserving for the BiH Presidency to decide to nominate His Excellency President Donald J. Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize," the initiative of the Serb member of the Presidency stated. She added that the resolution of the conflict in Gaza is the latest major success of the US President. At the session held on 25 August, Presidency members Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić refused to include this initiative of the Serb member of the Presidency on the agenda.
