KALUŽA: LEADERSHIP OF SRPSKA RECOGNIZED GEOPOLITICAL CHANGES IN TIME

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 20 /SRNA/ - Luciano Kaluža, an expert on international relations, told SRNA that the leadership of Republika Srpska has recognized major changes in global diplomacy and adapted to the new geopolitical circumstances, in which it has become a subject rather than a mere observer of events.
“The leadership of Republika Srpska recognized the new geopolitical circumstances in time. I would like to remind you that Russia has been changing its principles regarding the special military operation. A new president of Syria was received in Moscow, whereas until now they had supported Bashar al-Assad. The U.S. has changed its stance on the conflict in Ukraine, the Middle East, the EU, and the NATO alliance,” Kaluža pointed out. He emphasized that this is a new period of development for Republika Srpska. “The moment has been recognized, and this is a change that brings about a new stage in the development of Republika Srpska in these times. This is not a step backward, as some would like to portray it, but quite the opposite,” Kaluža stated. He pointed to the U.S. State Department’s statement following the session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, stressing that it clearly shows that Republika Srpska is a subject in mutual relations. “That says enough. We have excellent cooperation with Russia, the United States, and China - with the three leading world powers. We’re not making mistakes; on the contrary. We are moving in parallel with the processes currently unfolding in the world,” Kaluža added. He said that it is precisely in this context that the positions and decisions of Republika Srpska should be viewed, noting that otherwise, Srpska would remain a mere observer of events and miss the opportunity to develop its own policies. “The changes in the world are so powerful that Republika Srpska must be part of these processes. This was recognized in time. The institutions, especially the National Assembly, have reacted and adapted to the new global circumstances,” Kaluža said.
