BANJA LUKA, November 23 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated that today's victory of the party's candidate Siniša Karan in the early presidential election in Republika Srpska confirms that the governing structures continue to enjoy the support of the people.

"The victory is significant for us, achieved under conditions in which we were forced to explain someone else's decisions rather than our own. This result shows that the government has the people's support, and this win is undoubtedly important. I congratulate Karan on being elected President of Republika Srpska," Dodik said at a press conference in Banjaluka at the SNSD Election Headquarters. Dodik thanked everyone who contributed to ensuring that election day was conducted properly. He added that these elections were not something the people wanted, which was reflected in the low voter turnout.
