GATHERING OF FBiH LEADERS IN BANJA LUKA SHOULD BE CANCELED AS IT IS AN INSULT TO SERBS
BIJELJINA, FEBRUARY 19 /SRNA/ - The announced gathering in Banja Luka of politicians from the FBiH Nermin Nikšić and Elmedin Konaković, should be canceled because it would be an insult to the Serbian people, war veterans of the Panteri Guard said.
"Clearly and loudly, they are not welcome, because the Bosniak political leadership constantly works against Republika Srpska, while the Serbian people in the FBiH have been reduced to a statistical error," the Association of Veterans of the renowned special unit of the Army of Republika Srpska said in a statement. The war veterans particularly pointed to what they described as the seizure of Serbian churches and cemeteries from the Serbian Orthodox Church, which under the authority of Konaković and Nikšić have been registered as property of BiH. "The current political leaders in the FBiH who are in power have led to a situation where in the FBiH one is not even allowed to say they are a Serb, as demonstrated by the beatings of young people in Tuzla and Sarajevo," the war veterans stated. The signing of an agreement on a joint appearance in the general elections by the president of NiP Elmedin Konaković, the leader of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić, and three smaller parties has been announced for today in Banja Luka. Leaders of the federal parties are coming to Banja Luka while protests have been ongoing in Sarajevo for days over a recent tram accident. The president of the Alliance for Better Future /SBB/ Fahrudin Radončić said that it is the moral and political obligation of the member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković to address the demonstrators who have been gathering for days over the tram accident that occurred in Sarajevo.
