DODIK: SUPPORT FOR RESOLVING THE NUCLEAR WEAPONS ISSUE

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 3 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska clearly supports the efforts of the United States to resolve the issue of nuclear weapons in Iran, as well as Israel's efforts to ensure its own security and the security of the Jewish people, stated SNSD President Milorad Dodik.

"Iran was very negatively positioned in BiH during our key, fateful moments, such as during the breakup of the former Yugoslavia. They sent officers who organized mujahideen units that committed enormous crimes against the Serbian people," Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka after a lecture by American General Michael Flynn. He stated that afterward the Iranian Embassy worked on promoting Muslim and jihadist values against the Serbian people and Christianity. "Their organization of the Pogorelica camp led to the creation of radical Islamists who participated in terrorist attacks across Europe and the world, and one of the most remembered is September 11, 2001, when the United States was attacked," Dodik recalled. He emphasized that Republika Srpska is grateful to the new U.S. administration of President Donald Trump, which understood that the actions of the former administration were wrong and that there is a place in the world, such as Republika Srpska, where injustice was done. "The lifting of sanctions, the positioning, and the discussions we are having are the result of that understanding, and we are also working with people in America who have an interest in understanding and recognizing our position here," Dodik said.
