KOŠARAC: IT IS SARAJEVO’S CONTINUOUS ATTACK ON EVERYTHING WITH SERB PREFIX

SARAJEVO, May 15 /SRNA/ – Council of Ministers Deputy Chair Staša Košarac says he is appalled by new malicious provocations and vandalism targeting companies from Serbia in Sarajevo down town, stressing that this is not an isolated incident but Sarajevo's continuous attack on everything with Serb prefix.

"This disgraceful act is not only destruction of property, but also direct hatred, an attempt at intimidation, and a continuation of anti-Serb hysteria that has lasted for too long in Sarajevo," Košarac told SRNA, commenting on graffiti written on the premises of Serbian-owned companies in Sarajevo down town. He said that everything of Serbian origin in Sarajevo is being targeted - whether people, companies, religious sites, or cultural heritage. "These actions dangerously resemble the darkest chapters of our history - from 1914, through 1992, all the way to attacks on property of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Serb victims and their families, and expressions of hatred toward Serbian athletes…," Košarac warned. According to him, it is clear that Serb origin is the only reason for Sarajevo's continuous attacks and provocations. Košarac called on competent institutions to react promptly, identify, and sanction those responsible for the vandalism. The Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior has classified the act as the criminal offence of inciting national, racial, and religious hatred, division, or intolerance.
