SRPSKA WILL NOT GIVE UP ON JANUARY 9, HELEZ CAN FILE CHARGES AGAINST ALL OF ITS CITIZENS

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 18 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac pointed out that Republika Srpska will not give up on January 9 and that Zukan Helez can immediately file criminal charges against all citizens of Republika Srpska, but he will not, nor can he, change anything.

"Helez is just a populist, a mere contractor and part of the scenario advocated by /Michael/ Murphy, /Christian/ Schmidt, and other ill-intentioned foreigners. Let them finally understand - the Serbian people will never give up on January 9, the Day of Republika Srpska! We will always celebrate the birthday of our homeland in a dignified and civilized manner. It is something sacred for us!" said Košarac. He reminded that this year, as before, January 9 was celebrated throughout Republika Srpska, in peace and without a single incident. "We did not offend anyone. Representatives of the Croatian and Bosniak nations, as well as numerous friends of Republika Srpska, were present at the celebration," said Košarac. He recalled that in earlier statements Željko Komšić and Bakir Izetbegović recognized January 9 as a legitimate holiday. "That's a fact. What happened in the meantime? Their foreign mentors appeared, so now they're disputing it," said Košarac in a post on Instagram. He has said that the Serbian people do not identify themselves with March 1 or with November 25. "We are not interested in that, but we have not filed criminal charges against those who celebrate it. Personally, I think that typical converts are those who accept November 25, but not November 29, but that is another topic. Their business," Košarac said. He has said that Republika Srpska remains consistent with its basic policies in preserving Srpska and defending its interests. "No criminal charges, no attacks will intimidate us. This further strengthens our determination to preserve Republika Srpska, cherish our tradition, and proudly mark important dates in the history of Srpska. They can attack us every day, they will not sway us. We are for peace and internal agreement between the two entities and the three constituent nations. We are for the sovereignty of BiH without foreign interventionism. We insist on the constitutional capacity of Republika Srpska in the constitutional and Dayton BiH. However, the way it started, we will be out!" Košarac concluded. Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers Zukan Helez today filed criminal charges against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, his deputy Aleksandar Goganović, and Colonel of the BiH Armed Forces Milan Damjanić for the celebration of January 9 - the Day of Republika Srpska.
