BROĆETA: THIS WOULDN’T HAPPEN EVEN IN SOMALIA

DRVAR, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ – Deputy in the House of Peoples of the Federation of BiH Parliament Goran Broćeta told SRNA that the confirmation of the first-instance verdict against the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik exposes the truth that this is a court which does not rule according to the law, but according to the orders by Christian Schmidt and Western powers, emphasizing that something like this wouldn’t happen even in Somalia.

"It's clear to all of us that this was a political process with only one goal: to remove the president of Republika Srpska from the political arena," said Broćeta, who is also the chair of the Serb People Caucus in the Livno Canton Assembly. He stressed that the situation is even more absurd because everything happened due to Dodik respecting the institutions of Republika Srpska, of which he is the president. "Something like this couldn't happen even in Somalia, but here it is happening in a country where democracy is shaped by the will of someone who has neither the right nor the term to do so," Broćeta stated. He stressed that Serbs from the Federation of BiH received this shameful decision with great concern. "We are clearly and loudly saying that we stand with the president of Republika Srpska and the institutions of Srpska, because they have always stood with us - from the time of our return until today," Broćeta emphasized. The Appellate Division of the Court of BiH confirmed the first-instance verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, sentencing him to one year in prison and a six-year ban from political activity for "disrespecting" the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
