RADANOVIĆ: HATRED TOWARDS SERBS PASSED DOWN GENERATIONALLY

SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – The Bihać case, where the Islamist Adil Ćenanović disturbed a Serb family, highlights the hatred that has been ongoing since the 1990s and is passed down generationally in certain communities, Đorđe Radanović, the head of the Committee protecting Serbs’ Rights in the FBiH, told SRNA.

"They believe that everything Orthodox and Serb is a problem," Radanović emphasized. Radanović assessed that the FBiH institutions do not react to attacks on Serbs, reminding that the Committee has filed reports multiple times, but the Ministry of Interior, the prosecutor’s office, and the courts have done nothing. He asked what does the song "Veseli se srpski rode" /Rejoice, Serbian Kinsfolk/ have to do with it, which the Serb family was disturbed for. "The song is not against anyone, but you can see that some individuals react to it with hatred," said Radanović, adding that this is further proof of the continuous hatred toward Serbs in the FBiH. He stressed that there are fewer than 10 Serb houses in Bihać today, but that those families will also leave the city if they are subjected to pressure from people like Ćenanović. Islamist Adil Ćenanović disturbed the Serb family in Bihać for playing the song "Veseli se srpski rode," shouting "Takbir - Allahu Akbar" in front of their house. He posted everything on social media, making threats. "Takbir! Allahu Akbar! Let’s see who will turn it off," said Ćenanović, who was wearing a headband with an Arabic inscription. In the Federation of BiH, attacks on Serb returnees, their property, and their sanctities have become frequent.
