VULIĆ: EFFORT TO SHIFT PROPERTY TO STATE LEVEL IS PUSH FOR CENTRALIZATION

SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 9 /SRNA/ – Sanja Vulić, head of the SNSD CLUB in the BiH House of Representatives, has stated for SRNA that property belongs to the entities, that any attempt to transfer property to the BiH level is an unconstitutional move toward centralization, and that SNSD deputies will not support any property law at the state level.

Vulić said that the issue of property is a settled legal and political matter. "The issue of property is clearly defined by the Dayton Peace Accords and further confirmed by the Geneva Principles, which precisely outline the jurisdictions and status of the entities," Vulić emphasized, commenting on the Draft Law on State Property that will be put before MPs in regular procedure at the House of Representatives session on Friday, December 12. She said that any attempt to transfer property to the BiH level represents an unconstitutional push for centralization and a blatant violation of both the Dayton Agreement and the Geneva understandings. “SNSD will not take part in such debates, nor will we allow the institutions of BiH to alter what has been internationally signed and verified. For us, the property issue is closed and cannot be subjected to outvoting,” Vulić said.
