DODIK: ILLEGAL COURT CAN DO WHATEVER IT WANTS, BUT NOT FOR AS LONG AS IT WANTS

PRIJEDOR, MARCH 27 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik says that he is not interested in the decisions of the incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH, because it is, in any case, an illegal court.

PRIJEDOR, MARCH 27 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik says that he is not interested in the decisions of the incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH, because it is, in any case, an illegal court.

"It can do whatever it wants, but not for as long as it wants. Through political and legal pressure it is trying to impose certain solutions, which we have had problems for a long time," Dodik told the press in Prijedor. He stressed that the Constitutional Court of BiH is not a court that can be given any kind of support. The incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH today adopted several decisions concerning Republika Srpska upon requests for constitutional review, including declaring the Draft Constitution of Republika Srpska unconstitutional and several articles of the Law on Police and Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska. In addition, the incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH rejected as inadmissible the request of 11 members of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly to determine the existence of a dispute between BiH and Republika Srpska regarding the adoption of decisions electing the speaker and members of the Srpska Government, due to lack of decision-making competences. The explanation stated that the adoption of the contested decisions did not cause a dispute because it concerns the correctness of the procedure for electing the speaker and members of the Republika Srpska Government, which is regulated by the Constitution of Srpska, not the Constitution of BiH, for which the Republika Srpska Constitutional Court is competent.
